The Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India has invited applications from NGOs / Institutes of Education & Training and Community Organisations, Professional associations, Scientific Bodies etc., for receiving financial support ranging from Rs. 5000/- to Rs. 20,000/- for the conduct of National Environment Awareness Campaigns (NEAC) 2007-2008. Individuals and unregistered societies / Trusts are not eligible for receiving financial assistance for this campaign The theme for this year is "Biodiversity Conservation" with 5 sub themes. Deccan Development Society continues to be the Regional Resource Agency (RRA) for 11 Districts of Andhra Pradesh (North).  They are Hyderabad, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Warangal 

We have received Applications 399 from NGOs / Educational Institutions in the above 10 districts and the same were sent to the Ministry for recommendations.
