SPECIAL AWARD FOR DDS WOMEN

Naveena Mahila Contest 2008 - TV 9 DDS women, who have already made a name for themselves with their trail-blazing initiatives, added one more award to their list of laurels when they were honored at the Naveena Mahila Contest 2008, organized annually by TV 9. The awards are instituted by the Channel to recognize the achievements of women. They are given in the categories Of 'Courage', 'Fighting for rights', 'Fighting against social evils' 'Inspiration', ' Young Achiever', and Special Award'. The DDS women got the Special Award for their achievement in setting up the fist women managed community radio station and for their contribution to food sovereignty The awards were given away by Nandita Das and Mr.Ravi Prakash. |
